XMAS ART AND GIFT MARKET from Kemptown Arts Association
If you’re in Brighton this November and fancy escaping the usual high-street hustle, Kemptown Arts Association (KTAA) Christmas Art & Gift Market is a must-add to your calendar.
Taking over St George’s Church, Saint George’s Road on 22 November from 11am to 5pm, is KTAA with a chance to meet local makers and artists who will be filling the church with colour, creativity and a welcoming vibe.
What Makes this Kemptown Christmas Market So Special
Over 20 talented local artists will be there, offering a varied range of handmade goods.
You’ll find jewellery, prints, framed artwork, photography, tote bags, mugs, cushions, and other bits and bobs — all made by local creatives, keeping things beautifully personal.
The price point is intentionally affordable, which means you can pick up meaningful, high-quality gifts without breaking the bank.
More Than Just Brighton Christmas Shopping
This isn’t just a stall-by-stall market — it’s designed to feel like a warm, community Christmas gathering.
There’s a café on-site, run by Sandro, serving hot and cold food, sweet treats, and savoury bites. (his food is legendary, including his lemon possets, which are unbelievable! Worth making a Brighton pilgrimage for one of these alone.)
It’s a family-friendly event.
There’s pram and wheelchair access, so everyone’s welcome.
Entry is totally free — no ticket needed, just pop in and soak up the festive vibes.
How to Plan Your Visit to St George’s Church, Brighton
To avoid peak crowding, arrive shortly after 11am — that way you get first pick at the stalls while things are still calm.
Traders will accept both cash and card, so you’re covered either way.
For parking, there’s on-street parking nearby, or you can catch the no. 7 or no. 1 bus to Eastern Road and get off opposite the Royal Sussex County Hospital for the most convenient stop.
Meet the Local Brighton Artists
Co-chair of KTAA, one of the organisers, and also a participating artist, Jared Orlin said:
“We’re extremely excited to partner with St. George’s Church once again. We always appreciate their support. The event was very successful last year and it promises to be even bigger and better in 2025.”
Because the market is run by KTAA, you’re buying directly from local creatives and means your purchases really make a difference.
Why It’s More Than Just Handmade Gifts
This market feels like a heartwarming alternative to big commercial Christmas shopping. It’s about building community, supporting local makers, and discovering art that’s made with real care. Whether you’re looking for a thoughtful present, a card that feels personal, or just a cosy way to spend a November afternoon, this event has something for everyone.
So, mark your calendar: 22 November, 11am–5pm, St George’s Church, Kemptown. Grab a reusable tote, your festive spirit — and maybe a few extra pennies just in case you fall in love with something.
