Flower Burger vegan vibes in Brighton

Where are you on the vegan scale? Are you a meat eater that wants to factor in more meat free meals or are you a vegan all out, no compromise?

I'm definitely looking to reduce my meat intake and choose organic, free-range and sustainable where I can. Choosing a vegan meal is the way forward and I'm grateful to live in Brighton where there are lots of vegan options. One of the latest and most brightly coloured is the second store in the Flower Burger chain.

The first Flower Burger store opened in Charlotte Street, Soho in the centre of London. This second burger joint is just as centrally placed in Brighton, a few paces from our golden-topped clock tower.

I had been invited to an event to try out their new burgers and as I had been planning to go there anyway, I was delighted to accept.

Expect a brightly coloured flower-fest inside, with reds, oranges and yellow swirling designs emblazoned across the ceiling and walls.

There's a cute table with swing chairs that I would have sat at if vacant and would make a great instashot.

I must admit I had seen a blue burger on a poster at some point and that hadn't really appealed, so I was hoping that wasn't what was on offer. On the night there were two new burgers to try, the Pride rainbow stack (purple topped burger bun) and an Avo burger (green topped burger bun). So far so good.

When I cut into the Pride burger the full extent of the rainbow colours was revealed and it looked absolutely glorious. Inside was stacked vegan cheese, mushroom, lettuce, tomato and burger bun, it tasted so good and completely filled me up.

I did try the Avo burger but the truffle mayo was not for me. It wasn't for M K either but then he really is a lot further away from meat free eating.

We also tried the strawberry milkshake, which was delicious, if a little on the small side. This was a much easier sell as we've already swapped to oat milk and much prefer that now in tea and coffee. The chips were very tasty too.

Would I recommend Flower Burgers? Yes, please go, it's superb. It's also a perfect addition to Brighton.

Please note: I was invited to Flower Burger in Brighton to try a couple of Flower Burger meals, but have not been paid to promote their business. My review is based on my own opinion.
