Brand Vaughan - Best in the Brighton Property Business

~ One of the main reasons I moved to Brighton was because of the amazing architecture, there is a wealth of styles with Georgian and Victorian property in abundance. In fact I love buildings so much that I even have a top five favourite streets.

Having such an interest in property I have also selected a favourite Estate Agency! First and foremost Brand Vaughan are lovely people, originally based in Kemp town, they have just opened their second office at 219 Preston Road, four times the size of their original office. Not only that, they have recently received note-worthy recognition for their successful formula from the Sunday Times Estate Agent of the Year Awards, winning a prestigious Gold for the Best Single Office Agency in the South East. Scoring highly on the mystery secret shopper category, they were the only Brighton Estate Agency to be considered, which illustrates how rigorous the selection process is.

As well as this they have also taken a much more dynamic route to showcasing properties online; offering free video tours on every property and a unique approach to searching for properties.  You can search for property according to lifestyle headings such as Boutique Shopping, Children Learning or Train Catching.  Each property has a quote from the owner with the property specification written by an expert copywriter and pictures taken by a Professional photographer, making the overall experience very appealing for both buyers and sellers.

So, to mark their achievements I thought I would go along and have a chat with one of the founders, David Vaughan, find out a bit more and show you a couple of recent properties they have taken on.

David “Last year we won Bronze and we were over the moon with that, so a Gold is fantastic.

At the ceremony I received the award from the Olympic gold medal winner Rebecca Adlington, which was a real honour. It's great to receive recognition from experts within our industry. Obviously, it’s a huge team effort as a result of years of work, building up relationships with people and thinking outside the box as well. We’ve got professional copywriters writing the details, instead of Estate Agents. We try and get the right people doing the right jobs, for instance we have a professional photographer Andy working for us now and financial advisor Jim based at Preston Park. We also have a Sales Progression Manager, Annie who can deal with all of that side of things, which means our agents don’t have to worry about it and instead can just concentrate on selling properties and looking after our customers who are buying and selling. It makes sense, instead of the traditional approach of someone trying to do everything.”

Already seeing an upsurge in activity this year there is an increase in people putting their properties on the market and this is only set to increase with Spring normally the busiest time of year. “There are still a lot of people who were looking from last year who didn’t get what they wanted. We have kept their details, so that when the right property comes up we can let them know straight away and we know they’ll go for it.”
